Time has passed since the legendary Thai boxer, “Buakaw Banchamek,” began shaping his body in preparation for the world-stopping fight, “THE MATCH OF LEGEND,” in the year 2024, where he is set to face off with the legendary global boxer, “Manny Pacquiao.” However, during the wait for the world-stopping fight, as it circulates and anticipation builds for the showdown with Manny Pacquiao, Buakaw is not letting time go to waste. He is warming up his body by stepping into the ring to spar with K-1 kickboxer, “Yasuhiro Kido,” hailing from the land of the rising sun, Japan.

Their sparring sessions began on September 9, 2023, during the “Legend of Rajadamnern” event, marking the first time the two fighters have met under kickboxing rules.

Buakaw is approaching this fight with great determination as it will be professionally recorded in his career statistics. He has been advancing, unleashing his weaponry on Kido without holding back, utilizing techniques like kicks, knees, and elbows. However, an unforeseen incident occurred in the third round, just minutes into the match, when Kido’s head collided with Buakaw’s, causing Kido to bleed. The ringside physician had no choice but to stop the match immediately, resulting in a no-decision. There were no winners or losers.

Buakaw himself expressed his disappointment for not being able to defeat his opponent from the land of sushi due to the fight’s rules. Before the match even began, he was on the brink of withdrawing due to muscle discomfort. Nevertheless, he persevered, understanding that his fans were eagerly awaiting the fight, despite the extended delay. Unfortunately, the outcome did not align with his hopes.

Following this, Buakaw is now preparing himself, getting into even better physical shape, and gearing up for his Thai boxing match with his friend, “Saenchai.” Afterward, he will focus on international boxing techniques in anticipation of the eagerly awaited showdown with “Manny Pacquiao,” the world-stopping match that fans from all over the world are eagerly waiting for.
